GB-Chelmsford: PL0003 St Peters Demolition

St. Peters demolition and removal from site of School Buildings, Fox Crescent, Chelmsford.

The works comprise the demolition down to, and including, ground slab, foundations, drainage and services of a number of buildings and hardstandings. The work is subject to the following ecological constrainst -Roosting bats, Nesting birds.

Generally the works shall comprise:

• Asbestos removal
• Disconnecting services/protecting remaining services
• Demolition of all buildings down to, and including, ground slabs and foundations. NB. Two sections of Building F are to be retained.
• Removal and disposal of all demolition arisings and rubbish from site, to suitable licenced tips.
• Break out and removal of existing drainage and services.
• Breakout of access roads/hardstanding and removal.
• The metal railings and gates to the front of the site and perimeter fence are to be retained.
• Removal of all plant and equipment, furniture and fittings within the buildings.
• Making the whole are safe and leaving site level and secure on completion.

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
