Soft Market Test for the Provision of Food Waste Treatment Services

Peterborough City Council is developing a tender for the treatment of Food Waste that is separately collected from the kerbside. This offers the opportunity to review and re-design services with the aim of placing the Council in a position whereby they may offer the treatment of food waste as an opportunity to the supply market with a contract commencing in November 2019.

To assist this work we would like to engage with representatives from interested organisations to seek and gather views regarding the specification and procurement approach.

This will take place through interested organisations completing a Soft Market Testing Questionnaire and then individual meetings being held during January 2019. Information gathered from this early engagement will inform the procurement approach and service specification. Participation in this exercise is voluntary and the subsequent tender will be open to all organisations whether or not they have been involved in this process. It is anticipated that the tender will be issued in March/April 2019.
