Small Boats Operational Command (SBOC) has an operational need to rapidly deploy Border Force officers on different sea vessels and land vehicles to support live incidents. Therefore SBOC has a requirement for an easy deployable communication system that can provide internet connectivity at any deployed location.
Additional information:
SBOC requires a rapidly deployable communication system. This system must provide the following:
| - | high speed internet (greater than 50 Mbps) in any location within the UK United Kingdom's exclusive economic zone (EEZ) |
| - | 5G Cellular connectivity as a fail over service |
| - | Wi-Fi and 2 Ethernet ports to provide connectivity for Border Force clients to connect. |
| - | MANET integration |
| - | Various power options, including; 2 day battery life, accept 12 V DC input and 240 V AC input |
| - | Ruggedised and waterproof with an IP68 rating |
| - | GPS receiver |
| - | The system must be man portable (up to a 2 person lift) |
| - | The system must be a Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) solution as it is required to be operational as soon as possible |
