The Isle of Man Government Department of Health and Social Care invites expressions of interest from appropriately qualified, experienced and competent organisations to provide Autism services in line with the requirements outlined below.
The tender will offer the services as Lots with bidders able to bid for as many lots as they desire.
LOT 1
ON ISLAND RESIDENTIAL SERVICES FOR ADULTS WITH AUTISM
The provider shall deliver accommodation and support within four existing Community Homes, initially for seven adults with autism. The provider must be capable of offering a residential service for up to two (2) further adults with autism subject to compatibility assessments indicating the appropriateness of any such further placements.
The provider will be able to demonstrate and evidence a specialist approach to the support of Adults with Autism and deliver services that promote the persons social communication, social understanding, expectation and engagement.
The service will be registered under the Regulation of Care Act 2013 residential care minimum standards.
LOT 2 - This consists of three services which overlap and have therefore been grouped together into the same lot.
LOT 2A
ON ISLAND OUTREACH SERVICE FOR ADULTS WITH AUTISM
The outreach service will be commissioned to deliver 87 hours of outreach support each week to adults with autism. This will be delivered through a combination of individual 1:1 support and the delivery of social activity groups op...essential aspect of the overall provision for children with disabilities, focused on supporting parents (or carers) to develop their abilities to manage a range of presentations and challenges.
The service will focus on enabling parents (or carers) to learn new skills and strategies which will reduce stress and increase their ability to access community resources and activities as a family without additional support.
The service will be registered under the Regulation of Care Act 2013 as a domiciliary care service.
LOT 4
CHILDREN AND FAMILIES RESIDENTIAL SERVICE
The purpose of the Service is to establish and maintain, in accordance with Section 26 (1) (c) of the Children & Young Persons Act 2001 ("the Act") a specialist children's home for the accommodation of up to 3 children/young people with autism.
The objective of the Home will be to provide excellent residential care with the aim of contributing towards children achieving their full potential and best possible outcomes.
The service will be registered under the Regulation of Care Act 2013 as a Children's Home.
