Play Equipment Mere Avenue, Supply and Installation

Burscough Parish Council wishes to invite tenders for the supply and installation of play equipment and associated furniture at Mere Avenue Play Area, Mere Avenue, Off Red Cat Lane, Burscough.

It is likely that work will be completed in phases and that the first phase(s) will be well underway or completed during the current financial year.

The Parish Council may look to refurbish parts of the play area rather than trying to renew everything, and welcomes tenders which seek to minimise price without compromising quality.

The park is used predominantly by children from toddlers to about 11 years. Residents in the immediate area have been consulted and a report containing comments regarding what sort of equipment they would like to see is appended (Appendix 1). The park should also seek to cater for the needs of young people with disabilities and in these cases may need to consider older children.

Work to be Undertaken

New equipment should be provided on the same or a larger footprint.

Full specification, Images of the site and a survey of residents comments are are appended The tender is divided into lots as it may be that more than one bidder to undertake parts of the work, and will facilitate a phasing of work across the site.
