DESIGN, MANUFACTURE & INSTALLATION OF COLD ROOM AND REFRIGERATION UNIT

Royal Armouries wishes to procure the services of an experienced company to design, manufacture, supply and install a cold room and refrigeration unit, creating a walk-in freezer with a supporting maintenance contract that will last 3 years with a further 24 month add on option following from an initial 12 month warranty.

Additional information: As one of the world's finest museums of arms and armour, Royal Armouries has a duty of care to the collection making them available to exhibit, study, research and promote the public's enjoyment and understanding of arms and armour.

In order to ensure the collection is preserved, interventive and preventive measures need to be taken. Remedial conservation is carried out to achieve chemical and physical stability of the objects, while the museum building, sites and environment are managed closely to achieve optimum conditions for the collections preservation. This management includes the close monitoring and control of environment, appropriate storage and display conditions and integrated pest management.
