description

The University operates a wide range of mass spectometers and as part of our environmental sustainability plans, we have a programme to replace our oil-lubricated roughing pumps with oil-free pumps which offer several benefits. They reduce the risk of contamination with oil from the pump and reduce power consumption and heat output, in turn reducing the amount of air conditioning required in the analytical suite. They are also quieter and improve the working environment.

We are looking for an oil-free roughing pump system, with pumps compatible with the following specification required for two Waters Xevo instruments:

G2-X2 QToF: pumping speed of 40 m3/hr, power consumption below 700W, Noise Output below 60 Db (A)

TQ-S: pumping speed of 100 m3/ hr, power consumption below 900W, Noise Output below 60 Db (A)

The purchase of the system will be funded by an EPSRC grant.

Please provide evidence that your proposed system meets these requirements.

Please state the details of length of any standard warranty included, and also cost of options to extend further and also the cost of any service contracts you offer.
