Request for Information - End of Life Care Services & Social Work

Portsmouth City Council (the 'council') currently have a contract in place for the delivery of an End of Life Care Management Service (A) in Portsmouth. This contract is due to end on the 31st March 2022 and is currently valued at £68,177 per annum. In addition, Portsmouth also have seconded Social Worker Support (B) in place for Portsmouth. This arrangement is also due to end on 31/03/2022 and is currently valued at £51,706 per annum. There is the option to extend both these contracts for a period of two years.

The purpose of this engagement is to share with you information about these current services and also our draft specifications, and ask you to comment on our requirements. Any information a provider shares could be used to assist drafting the final specification.

We are also using the process to 'test the market' to obtain a better understanding of the level of interest from potential providers in delivering this service.

Providers should note that there is no obligation to take part in this exercise and that if they do not take part it will not preclude them from any subsequent related procurement process. Engaging providers will not receive preferential treatment in any subsequent quotation or tender process, and this is in no way an indication of the selection of any organisation or a guarantee of future work.
