GB-EDINBURGH: REFURBISHMENT & REPLACEMENT OF WINDOWS – 84 GEORGE STREET

It is the Boards intention to award this contract to a single contractor, and it is envisaged that the successful Tenderer will removal of all traditional timber sash and case windows frames, including the dormer units, on the front and rear elevation of 84 George Street, Edinburgh, EH2 3DA and removal off site to a specialist sash and case contractor’s workshop. The decorative fanlight above the main entrance door, as well as all timber framed doors to the George Street elevation, are also to be removed and overhauled. In addition, all metal framed double glazed windows to all other elevations of the building are to be replaced. The works will involve a large amount of scaffolding and minor associated builders work such as pointing works. All works will be carried out from external scaffolding other than the sealing of the windows and minor internal decoration. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs).
