Worcestershire Libraries and Learning Service - E-books and e-audio service

Worcestershire Libraries and Learning Service comprises 21 libraries, 2 library links and a mobile library. It offers a Library Service at Home service to readers unable to visit the library due to disability or caring responsibilities. It is a merged service with adult learning and offers both a leisure and a funded course programme. Worcestershire is a rural county with a areas of higher density population. Our customers are therefore spread over a wide geographic area and access to a library is not always easy.

We currently use Talis Alto Library Management System and are trialing Talis Soprano.

Currently E-books and E-audio content are accessible directly via a website or an App, available titles can also be accessed via the Councils' Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). The purpose of e-book provision is to give choice and range to existing users, to move existing customers to new formats; as well as to attract non-library customers who may then become customers.

This tender will be evaluated with the following weightings:

60% =Quality 40% = Price

Suppliers are advised that whilst the lowest priced tender will receive the highest score for Price (40%), Supplier's should provide detailed answers to correlate with the Quality evaluation weighting (60%).
