The University of Southampton is contracting for the provision of investigational medicinal products for use by its Faculty of Medicine as part of the one of its clinical trials.
The trial itself is concerned with the investigation of the use of antibiotics for lower respiratory tract infection in children presenting in primary care. It is a randomised double blind placebo controlled clinical trial comparing amoxicillin suspension and placebo.
This tender is in relation to the contract for the provision of investigational medicinal products and blinding services for the pilot phase of the trial.
Additional information: In accordance with the exemption provided for in Regulation 112 (2) (b) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, a contract value range of £28,000-38,000 has been provided in lieu of a final contract price.
