18 106 - Advocacy & Independent Visiting Service

This contract is for the provision of an Advocacy and Independent Visitor Service. The provider will be expected to provide and maintain CEC Advocacy Service in accordance with relevant statutory provisions and this specification, providing advocates who come from a variety of backgrounds and cultures with an ability to communicate with, and advocate for children and young people. The provider will provide advocates for young people either wishing to make a representation about the service they have received; seeking an early resolution of any area of concern they may have and making a formal complaint where necessary. The service will also support young people to express their views at meetings, such as Review Meetings. The supplier will also provide and maintain the Independent Visitor Service in accordance with relevant statutory provisions and this Specification. The service will provide volunteer Independent Visitors who come from a variety of backgrounds, cultures and ages with an ability to communicate with children and young people.
