description

Birmingham South Central Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) as procurement lead on behalf of Birmingham CrossCity and Sandwell West Birmingham CCGs in collaboration with Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust (BSMHFT) are seeking proposals for an impact assessment on mental health services for 25 years and above who access mental health services provided by BSMHFT.

Birmingham South Central BSC (lead commissioners on behalf of Birmingham Cross City and Sandwell West Birmingham CCG’s) for Child and Adolescent Mental Health services has recently announced the preferred provider for the 0-25 community and inpatient mental health service. With this decision the incumbent providers of adult mental health services BSMHFT will need to change the way that services are delivered. It is anticipated that there will be an impact on the current providers due to services being contracted by another provider for 18-25 services; the extent of these effects need to be determined through this impact assessment. The value of the service transfer from BSMHFT is estimated to be around £14.2m and this investment will form part of the funding for the 0-25 year old service.

We seek proposals from suitably qualified and experienced organisations to undertake an impact assessment on the establishment of the 0-25service on the remaining portfolio of adult services delivered by BSMHFT. In particular the impact on the following service areas which will either be removed in full, or part from BSMHFT’s service portfolio.
