description
Energy Revolution: The Adani Green Energy Gallery will be a permanent gallery at the Science Museum. It is expected to open in summer 2024 and last for 10+ years, with some scope for updates during this time.
Energy Revolution: The Adani Green Energy Gallery is dedicated to one of the most pressing issues of our time: the need to urgently decarbonise global energy systems if we are to limit dangerous climate change.
Through a mixture of striking displays of contemporary and historic objects, alongside audio-visual and graphic-based exhibits, the gallery shows how the past, present and future of energy systems are shaped by human imagination and innovation--and explores how we all have a role to play in shaping our energy future.
The gallery's key message is: Imagining the future is a powerful tool for generating knowledge, stimulating innovation, and shaping our decisions about how we live--and will be essential for successfully decarbonising global energy systems.
Interactive exhibits are being developed to accompany the gallery's content and interpretive approach and support visitors understand the science behind the energy stories.
We wish the successful supplier to undertake 1 round of prototype testing on each of the following three digital interactive exhibits (working titles):
- Solar scales digital exhibit
- Balancing the grid digital exhibit
- Climate modelling digital exhibit
