LPS CAS - Rockface Inspection - Newchurch Tunnels Cycleway – Rossendale - RFQ 14227302,2

The proposed works relate to the cycling scheme in the area which will create a clear path from Rawtenstall to Rochdale along the River Irwell. Survey works are to be completed to establish the stability of the rockface in order to provide recommendations to mitigate the potential geotechnical risks to the proposed cycleway.

To facilitate the survey works the removal of vegetation is required to allow the visual examination of and access to the rockface.

A tender for completion of the survey will include the removal of all vegetation between the east and west tunnels including on the rock face thus allowing full unhindered appreciation of the views afforded between tunnel sections by the cycleway users.
