description
The cell sorter is to be purchased for the Prof. Paul Moss group only. It must be a versatile instrument capable of sorting a variety of cell types. Ease of use will be considered important without compromising capability.
Specification:
The sorter must be capable of sorting to high purity a diverse range of cell types at a speed >10,000 cells /sec. After sorting the cells must have a viability at or greater than 90%. They must provide us with the ability to achieve sterile sorts, allowing the long term culture of the sorted cells. The supplier must be able to demonstrate what built-in features the instrument has in this respect and be able to demonstrate its effectiveness. This system is going to be operated by various members themselves from Prof. Paul Moss group after training, so ease of use is essential.
The cell sorter must have the option of being supplied with a dedicated biological safety cabinet.

The supplier shall respond to each numbered paragraph of this specification, describing in detail the method of compliance or otherwise.
A reliable service package is required to ensure the full upkeep and efficiency of the product. This can range from service care contracts for durations after installation to warranties for equipment and what they include. This also will include all technical support and training as well as potential application requirements in the future. The suppliers will agree to provide operational support for the duration of the paid for service contract.
