Butchery Produce 14-003

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking expressions of interest from suppliers for the provision of Butchery Produce. The produce required will include items such as various fillets (beef, chicken and pork etc), diced and minced meats, turkey crown, whole chicken, bacon, sausages, sliced meats and many more. Deliveries are required to school kitchens, social care establishments and other RMBC catering outlets such as the Town Hall, country parks and cafes. Spend on butchery produce is estimated to be £325,000 per annum in total. This agreement may be split into two lots as detailed below. Suppliers who are successful following the pre-tender questionnaire evaluation will be invited to tender. Lot 1 Provision of butchery produce to Children and Young People's Services The anticipated spend for this lot is £250,000 per annum although this cannot be guaranteed. Lot 2 Provision of butchery produce to Civic and Neighbourhoods and Adult Services establishments The anticipated spend for this lot is £75,000 per annum although this cannot be guaranteed. The intention is to award to a sole supplier, however if one supplier cannot meet the council's requirements then the tender will be awarded to additional participant(s). The new agreement shall be let for an initial period of one year, with the option to extend at the sole discretion of the Council for a further three years, each on a year by year basis.
