description
The project has biased toward major civils engineering works and will include element of contractor design as it will involve full site setup including erection of security hoardings, demolition of existing stable block buildings including associated hard-standings, approximate demolition area 550.00M3. Construction and installation of structurally designed concrete retaining wall structure in accordance with structural engineer design, approximately 30.00M long and 6.00M high. Following construction of monolithic concrete retaining wall structure a structurally designed cavity wall structure with a reinforced concrete core will be built directly on top of the new retaining wall structure, approximately 30.00M long and 3.50M high.
Supply, manufacture and install a bespoke aluminium powder coated horizontal louvre fan fixed on top of the cavity wall structure with bespoke fixing brackets in accordance with structural engineer design, approximately 30.00M x 1.50M. Remedial brickwork repairs i.e. brick indentation and repointing to all remaining section of western boundary wall.
The works will be carried out on a fully operational LBB waste transfer station used by waste contractors and members of the public. The site and general working spaces are considered tight and restrictive there is also significant variation between the site levels between the waste transfer station and the alley way on other side of wall structure of approximately 6.00M. Part of the works will involve working in private resident garden area, therefore this project will be notifiable to HSE and full compliance with all current CDM 2015 regulations.
All demolition works shall be undertaken by a contractor who is a current member of the National Federation of Demolition Contractors. All demolition work undertaken must be completed in strict accordance Code of Practice SS 557; and latest code of practice for Demolition.
