GB-Peterborough: Clare Lodge Phase 6

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.

The contractor shall be expected to be able to demonstrate experience and sound working knowledge of similar projects in a secure environment. To include ,but not limited to, the following:

1. Working in and around a secure/prison type environment.
2. Working with specialist materials and equipment associated with the above environment.
3. Working in a highly controlled environment in relation to safeguarding of young women within the existing unit.
4. Working in a highly controlled environment to provide an educational facility within the confines of a secure unit.
5. Phasing of construction.
6. Working with specialist M&E contractors. Including high level integration of all systems.
7. Working with specialist secure unit finishes including anti ligature and high pressure laminate surfaces.
8. This project would not be deemed suitable for general building contractors.
9. The value of the contract is estimated to be £3-4 million
