Environment Agency - National Provision for RPA Advisory Services & Equipment Maintenance

The Environment Agency requires a national contract for the provision of Radiation Protection Advice and the maintenance of hand held, portable radiation safety equipment

Lot 1 - the provision of qualified Radiation Protection Advisor (RPA) services under Regulation 13 (1) of the Ionising Radiations Regulations 1999 (IRR99) by fully certified and experienced RPA. Requirements will include access to 24/7 365 day per annum qualified RPA support. The contract will also require the services of suitably qualified and experienced personnel to provide advice on internal Radiation Safety technical document reviews and the provision of training to Environment Agency staff relating to radiation safety matters.

Lot 2 – the provision of Operational Services for portable radiation safety equipment such as the leak testing of radiation check sources, calibration of radiation monitoring instrumentation and calibration of electronic personal dose meters.

Additional information: All suppliers expressing an interest in this contract will be issued with Invitation to Tender (ITT) documents after the closing date for this advert, with instructions for completion. The contract will be open to bids for the individual Lots. The Lots may be awarded to different Tenderers based on the Most Economically Advantageous Tender for the Lot.
