Low Carbon Business Opportunities Programme Lot B (Re-advertisement)

This Tender opportunity is to deliver Low Carbon Innovation Assists as part of the Low Carbon Business Opportunities Programme.

This service was previously advertised on November 16th 2016 as Lot B (Low Carbon Innovation Assists), along with Lot A, (Renewable Energy Generation Assists). Due to an administrative error in the Lot B questions, Lot B is being re-advertised. The specification relating to Lot B has also been revised.

Lot A is currently being evaluated and is not a part of this advertisement.

The three year European Regional Development Fund supported 'Low Carbon Opportunities Programme' will provide support to 80 Worcestershire small to medium sized enterprises ('SMEs') across both Lot A and Lot B, providing a catalyst to further growth of Worcestershire's low carbon economy and supporting businesses at a time of transition in national low carbon energy policy.

The programme will be comprised of independent, free consultancy support in the form of two day business assists; grant funding; and networking opportunities and events, for eligible SMEs in Worcestershire.

The aims of the programme are to enable and encourage SMEs to adopt larger scale low carbon technology, such as renewable energy, and to innovate and grow in, or diversify into, the low carbon sector. The programme will facilitate greater innovation and research and development leading to the development and adoption of low carbon products and processes.

Through this tender opportunity the Council will be contracting an independent provider to undertake the Low Carbon Innovation Assists and to provide additional services such as assistance with recruitment of SMEs to the programme.

Tenderers who have already bid for Lot A may also bid for Lot B. Evidence of capacity to fulfil both Lots must be provided (See Section 4/2.2).
