Central Bedfordshire and Bedford Borough Councils wish to commission a provider/providers to offer an aligned domestic abuse service.

The new service will include:

  • oIDVA provision to support high- and very high-risk victims of domestic violence and abuse aged 16 years and over. High and very high risk is to be determined by use of the DASH risk assessment scoring matrix, also in use for MARAC referrals, alongside professional judgement where necessary; and
  • oA hospital-based IDVA service supporting low- and medium-risk victims who present to Bedford hospital or are identified by health professionals in the course of hospital treatment (one year only); and
  • oA community-based perpetrator service aimed at promoting wellbeing through enabling people to have healthy relationships in families, between individuals and in the community.
