Installation of new energy efficient LED Lighting Scheme at Witton Middle School Droitwich Spa Worcestershire

Place Partnership Ltd. on behalf of Worcestershire County Council invite suitable, qualified Electrical Contractors, to carry out the installation of a new lighting scheme at Witton Middle School Old Coach Road Droitwich Spa Worcestershire WR9 8BB

Worcestershire County Council are keen to reduce energy and maintenance costs whilst at the same time increasing light quality and aesthetics for staff and students.

The proposal is to upgrade the existing lighting in the rooms specified to new high quality energy efficient LED Luminaires and at the same time upgrading the existing emergency lighting to produce a BS5266 Compliant system.

Install 2 new post lights along the pathway and replace damaged post light top as per the drawing in keeping with the existing post lighting although LED.

Replace 6 x external floodlights including the replacement of non-compliant wiring.

The successful contractor will design supply and Install an energy efficient LED lighting scheme for areas specified whilst reducing the lighting load but also increasing the lighting levels. Luminaires manufactured by Dextra Lighting (such as the Graduate fitting in classrooms see attached design) will be acceptable as will an equal equivalent and will be installed in accordance with the design specification supplied with the tender submission by the contractor.

The Client is keen to see a higher aesthetic standard of lighting.

The design and installation is to comply with BS7671 , British Standards and CIBSE guidelines and should also meet the requirements of BS EN 12464-1

All lighting should have a uniform light spectrum with a colour rendering of (CRI ) > 80 and a neutral colour temperature of 4000k

It is on this basis that we invite suitable contractors to provide a full turn-key project compliant quotation, to deliver this project within set time scales.

Worcestershire County Council reserve the right not to award a contract in full or in part.
