Surrey would like to commission the provision of reparenting training and support for our adopted children on an annual basis.
The reparenting training should help parents to:
- understand their child’s trauma and subsequent behaviour
- understand the therapeutic approach at the heart of parenting
- understand that parenting attitude is a vital part of caring for children
- be better informed to engage with practitioners to work with their child
We require a provider to deliver 2 training programmes a year (starting October 2015) for our adoptive families.
The initial contract would be for 2-years.
