description
**This is not a call for competition**
The Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy have awarded this contract without prior publication against Public Commercial Regulations 2015, Regulation 32(2)(b)(ii).
We are purchasing monthly data drawn from survey questions asked on our behalf by BVA BRDC which undertakes a monthly omnibus survey of businesses. The survey questions seek to allow BEIS to monitor and build better understanding of the impact of Brexit on businesses (e.g. extent of cash-flow issues for businesses in supply chains), as well as businesses' preparations for Brexit. BEIS is receiving monthly data for a 6-month period.
We receive aggregated data with splits by business size, region, sector and international trade activity. In the case of a couple of questions, we also receive verbatim answers.
The data will
| - | inform ministers and senior officials in BEIS and other government departments as to how businesses are coping with and preparing for Brexit |
| - | shape BEIS' business finance and business support policy development to mitigate against any business adjustments required to cope with Brexit, especially a no-deal Brexit, |
| - | and inform BEIS' stakeholder engagement and communications strategies on Brexit issues. |
The findings will also go into high-profile internal briefings, including the cross-Whitehall "Kingfisher" brief and our regular Perm Sec briefings from the BEIS chief economist.
