The Digital Innovation Facility (DIF), opening in late spring 2021, will be a digitally integrated Centre of Excellence in Robotics, Simulation and Mixed Reality, providing laboratory facilities, offices and network/interaction space to support collaborative research leading to digital transformation across multiple sectors.

The vision is that the project will enable companies and organisations to leverage facilities and expertise, and work with complex simulations to develop, demonstrate, and integrate new software and products in the core field of the convergence between high-performance and cognitive computing and engineering, with a focus on developing the SME sector in the Liverpool City Region.
