Project Initiation Support

The Authority is seeking to set up a Framework Agreement to offer this service to departments (including arm’s length bodies), local government and internationally through the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO).

The Infrastructure and Projects Authority, formed on 1 January 2016, brings together Infrastructure UK (IUK) and the Major Projects Authority (MPA). The Framework Agreement is to be a true collaboration of the best professionals to bring a quality service to improve the delivery of projects and programmes both in the UK and internationally. The Authority is looking for partners through the Framework to contribute to expanding the scope and application of the tool with the emphasis being on improved outcomes. The Authority’s role will be to oversee the use and support directly where there are projects and HM Government priorities. The structure and award mechanism of the Framework Agreement and commercial model underpinning it should incentives Suppliers on the Framework Agreement to grow and develop the tool in order to maximise opportunities for implementation.

The Authority brings together expertise in infrastructure and the financing, delivery and assurance of major projects as a single unit, reporting to the Chancellor and the Minister for the Cabinet Office it supports infrastructure and project development and delivery across the whole of Government. A detailed description of the Services that the Potential Provider will be required to supply under this Framework Agreement are set out in full in Part A (Services) of Framework Schedule 2 of the Framework Agreement.

Once you have registered on the eSourcing Suite, a registered user can express an interest for a specific procurement. This is done by emailing:

expressionofinterest@crowncommercial.gov.uk

Your email must clearly state:

• the name and reference for the procurement you wish to register for;
• the name of the registered Potential Provider; and
• the name and contact details for the registered individual sending the email.

The Agent will process the email and then enable the Potential Provider to access the Procurement online via the eSourcing Suite. The registered user will receive a notification email to alert them once this has been done. As a user of the eSourcing Suite you will have access to eSourcing Suite email messaging service which facilitates all messages sent to you and from you in relation to any specific RFX event.
