Supported Housing Approved List (Round Two) - Liberty House

The Supported Housing Approved List will create a pool of partners (RPs, not for profit/voluntary and private sector) who are flexible, adaptable and able to deliver the range of known and anticipated supported and specialised accommodation* requirements. This may include the;

• provision of accommodation for people returning from out of borough
• identification of partners to work with the City Council on bids for capital funding from appropriate sources such as HCA and Dept of Health
• provision of accommodation for people with independent means / trust funds etc
• replacement of out date supported living projects - securing of move on properties for all client groups - development of temporary accommodation for homeless families
• development of extra care and sheltered accommodation.

Due to the diverse range of housing options required by the Council, the Supported Housing Approved List will include specific categories known as "Lot's". Each "Lot" will appeal to specific providers.

• "Supported Accommodation" is not defined in statute, but it can be summarised as any accommodation where the occupier receives some sort of help to enable them to live in the accommodation.
