description

To investigate the risk of a fire or explosion occurring in a Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery due to over-charging/mis charging. The work is a study, to include testing under laboratory conditions, of rechargeable Li-Ion batteries and where they might be subject to higher risk use, which may in turn lead to a safety failure.

Additional information: This was a Single Tender Action on the grounds that competition was absent for technical reasons, only supplier in Europe possessing the relevant accreditation to undertake this type of testing.
