Main Advert Wording
NHS England South (South Central) (the Commissioners) invites expressions of interest (EOI) from suitably qualified and experienced providers including third sector and social enterprise organisations, private and NHS to provide the Child Health Information Service (CHIS) across the population of Thames Valley (Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire).
NHS England South (South Central) will be the contracting and commissioning authority for the CHIS. Commissioners are looking for a single provider to deliver a high quality service across Thames Valley.
The child health information service are patient administration systems which provide clinical records and support a variety of child health and related activities and functions including universal services for population health, support statutory functions including immunisations, screening and supporting children with Special educational needs.
The Child Health Information Service has 3 components:
- An IT system the Child Health Information Service System [CHISS]

The Commissioners would like to encourage innovative solutions which will deliver value for money and improved services.
Contract award is anticipated to be August 2016 and the successful bidder will be expected to manage a phased implementation with a service commencement date of 01 January 2017 for Berkshire followed by Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire from the 01 April 2017.
If you wish to express an interest in taking part in a future procurement exercise to identify a provider to deliver these services in Thames Valley, please register on the In-Tend portal and submit a completed Provider Sounding Questionnaire by 12pm on Monday 14th March 2016. The information received during this process will be used to inform potential future solutions.
NHS England South (South Central) will be holding a market event to discuss the forthcoming procurement on13th April 2016 venue to be confirmed.
