Summer Shows
In order to enhance and increase the usage of venue outside of the main shows the Council has arranged free entertainment on 10-12 selected days during the main school summer holidays. These are free to enter shows and no charges can be made by the company for any supplementary entertainment.
Running Times
The shows - which usually are held on Monday and Thursdays take place between the hours of 13:00-16:00 with additional entertainment taking place between 12:00-13:00 (for example Punch & Judy show, Jugglers, Costume Characters mingling with the crowd.
Requirements
| • | The shows must be family orientated and should include elements of comedy, song and dance. |
| • | The Council will permit full use the main stage and some of the backstage building (which must be left in the condition it was given). |
| • | Access to backstage will also need to be controlled by the successful bidder to ensure that only performers and production persons and not parents or other adults are permitted backstage. |
| • | The successful bidder must provide all sound equipment and front of house position and be responsible for all production and marketing material connected with the shows. |
| • | The successful bidder will be required to be flexible around show dates as major concerts will take priority. |
| • | Cancellation of any show due to weather must be agreed with the Venue Manager or their representative. |
