description
The Joint Maritime Security Centre (JMSC) is the UK government's centre of excellence for maritime security. Its mission is to increase awareness and understanding of maritime security threats and enable cross-government coordination to deliver a whole-system response to mitigate them. JMSC is a multi-agency organisation (part of the Home Office) responsible for ensuring the UK maintains its understanding of the UK maritime domain and develops the cross-government coordination frameworks to respond to threats to security, law and order, and the marine environment.
JMSC is seeking to establish if there are suppliers who can provide, deliver and manage Surface Wave High Frequency radar to detect vessels of length 12m at ranges to 160-200nm in all weather conditions, day and night. The system shall also be able to detect and monitor sea conditions and pollutants.
JMSC would be interested to hear from suppliers who are already capable of or are providing Surface Wave High Frequency radar immediately for a trial of the capability in the UK. PLEASE NOTE: there is no intention to procure this technology at this stage, however, JMSC would also be interested to hear from suppliers who are capable of providing Surface Wave High Frequency radar in the UK in the future.
Please contact us at james.obrien2@homeoffice.gov.uk and/or ian.gardner3@homeoffice.gov.uk providing the following information:
| 1. | Your company name and address; |

| 5. | A brief summary of your capability in providing Surface Wave High Frequency radar and where you currently operate it (unless this information is sensitive/restricted). |
All information should be submitted before 17:00hrs (GMT), 21 March 2023.
