Local Government House Refurbishment Contracts Finder Award

The LGA invites Tenders for the provision of Conference and Office Cat A and Cat B Accommodation ? LocalGovernment House Refurbishment at Local Government House, Smith Square, London, SW1P 3HZ.

It is proposed that the project will deliver:

? A refurbished conference suite suitable for internal events and commercial hiring, to Cat B;

? Maximum of 3 floors of office accommodation for the LGA and its core partners, to Cat B;

? A further 3 floors released for high quality commercial letting, to Cat A;

? Floors 7 and 8 retained for membership events and meetings but with the flexibility to release floor 7 forexternal letting at a later stage if required, to Cat B;

? Refurbished kitchen and toilet facilities;

? Formal and informal meeting spaces;

? Mechanical and electrical upgrades and modernization;

? It is anticipated that the building will be fully decanted for the duration of the contract;

? Strip out works to be let as part of the PCSA.

The duration of the contract is 27 weeks, subject to the right of the LGA (at its sole discretion) to exercise itsright to extend the Contract by up to 5 weeks. The maximum length of the contract is therefore 32 weeks.

The anticipated project cost is in the range 9 000 000 GBP-10 000 000 GBP. This excludes main contractorprelims., OHP, design fees, IT and FFE.
