description
The London Borough of Bromley intends to tender for the Public Protection and Environmental Enforcement services as detailed (but not limited to) in this description in the recognition that both the service areas contain a degree of commonality. We are initially looking to engage in a soft market test with potential providers for both service areas of this contract by way of a questionnaire prior to the commencement of the Tender Exercise.
As such, this notice (for which there is a corresponding PIN on Tenders Electronic Daily) does not formally signify the beginning of a procurement process and does not constitute commitment to undertake a procurement exercise. In the event that the London Borough of Bromley decides to commence formally procurement pursuant to this notice a separate Contracts Finder and OJEU Contract Notice will be issued. The contract may be tendered as two or more separate lots as appropriate to the required services, with the contract likely to commence 31st March 2019.
The key areas within the service will include the following:
Public Protection •Environmental Protection •Public Health Nuisance •Housing Improvement •Housing Enforcement •Food and Feed Controls •Health & Safety •Licensing •Trading Standards •CCTV
•Community Safety •Mortuary Service •Coroners service •Emergency planning and business continuity •Corporate safety
Environmental Enforcement •Flytipping •Obstructions to the highway •Unlawful encampments •Dog fouling •Abandoned vehicles •Park byelaws •Littering
Interested providers can access the questionnaire electronically through the London tenders Portal at www.londontenders.org. Providers will need to register their company on the portal (if they have not already done so) to access and respond to the questionnaire. Completed questionnaires must be submitted no later than 11th November 2016.
Additional information: The Council works closely with a number of its surrounding local authorities on procurement activity and is a member of the South East London Procurement Group (comprising of the London Boroughs of Bromley, Bexley, Lewisham, Greenwich, Lambeth and Southwark). In addition to the partner organisation identified above, in appropriate circumstances and in compliance with any legal and regulatory requirement, the opportunity for services to be provided through this contract may also be offered to members of this organisation and who may have similar usage volumes.
