Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a safe and effective solution to enable one manufacturer of blood pressure cuffs to be able to be used on the differing non invasive blood pressure equipment used within the Trust.
One company will be expected to supply reusable and disposable blood pressure cuffs along with a safe conversion device that will fit securely to the non invasive equipment used within the Trust.
The company would be expected to supply and undertake the conversion of all equipment in the clinical areas in the Trust.
Reusable cuffs must have clear decontamination instructions provided.
Cascade training across the clinical teams, incorporating training at opportunities out of hours, must be provided with 75% (2,000) of staff to be trained on correct sizing of blood pressure cuffs and undertaking the procedure within 10 weeks of the contract award.
The company is expected to support the Trust with communication methods of the rollout and implementation of the products.
Contract is for two years duration with a 12 month extension option with carriage paid consumables offered to be fixed for this period.
A sample of a connector and blood pressure cuffs should be submitted to the Trust by 18th December 2015.
