Rate of Pay: £19.85 per hour (Inside IR35)
Hours: 18.5 hours per week
Location: Hybrid/Sandwell Council House, Oldbury, B69 3DE
Start Date: ASAP

Brief description:
We are looking for 1 x temporary agency Social Care Lead Officer, for 3 months, 18.5 hours a week (Wed (PM), Thursday & Friday) to cover the Young adults Team (YAT) in the Adult Social Care while we recruit a permanent worker to fill that post.
Person should be a qualified Social Worker with Adults Social Work management experience, to bring your knowledge, skills, and attributes to lead a team of qualified and unqualified staff to make a difference to the lives of young people of Sandwell.
You will need to be motivated and flexible with high professional standards and sound knowledge and experience of current legislation and practice including the Care Act 2014, Safeguarding Continuing Health care, Community DOLS/LPS and Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Mental Health Act. Have knowledge of working with young people, transition from children to adult service/adulthood and be able to engage with partners such as Children's Services, Health services, housing etc. in the process You will be expected to support your staff to work with vulnerable adults with mental health issues, learning disability, physical disability, and older people. You need to be able to work with a diverse group of individuals and partner agencies. You will work alongside a supportive and experienced team of managers with regular supervision and development opportunities.

*Managing the day to day operational business of the team *Ensuring the successful delivery of team and service objectives *Managing expectations in terms of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, statutory safeguarding duties and corporate policies *Driving the improvement and performance frameworks, with regular staff supervision. *Implement, monitor and review the use of Prevention and Re-ablement services and the use of community offers
