description
The current health commercial system Atamis (and its replacement the Future Health Commercial System - FHCS) is a national system in operation across 319 health family organisations. This system provides an end-to-end commercial solution covering - amongst other areas - pipeline, tender management, contract management and supplier risk management.
There is a critical need for specific expertise to support:
- The continued adoption and development of the system and ensure changes are appropriately implemented
- The re-procurement of the FHCS including business case development and specification drafting
This seven-month extension is sought to cover the need to complete work on the FHCS business case (including liaison with the Cabinet Office) and support the delivery of development initiatives for Atamis. Over the next seven months these include:
- the implementation of spend analytics for DHSC and its ALBs within Atamis;
- the development of financial and cyber supplier risk management tools and processes across the health system;
- the enhancement of income contract records,
- the potential development of an asset register for collating and commercialising intellectual property across the NHS,
- improvements to the management of frameworks within Atamis; and
- the development of e-auction functionality.
The knowledge and expertise of the professional service resource are essential in dealing with queries arising from the adoption and scoping the outlined changes to the health commercial system. Their experience will enable improvements, which are all intended to be in place or substantially developed by December 2025, to be agreed and implemented faster and cheaper and without us relying primarily on the supplier. Without this resource supporting the development of these would be delayed (likely by 12 months) and the cost of development would significantly increase.
