NHSPS 2018-19 EY

Audit of property valuation undertaken by NHSPS expert (Montague Evans) as at 31 March 2019. The basic cost of the assignment is £23k + VAT, based on a sample size of 20, with no changes to the methodology since EY's last review. There is scope for this to increase in certain circumstances: if issues are found with the sample and it has to be extended to up to 30 sample items, and/or the methodogy has changed. The maximum quoted cost including this additional work is £36k + VAT . We have discussed all scenarios, and we would have to jointly agree any increase for it to be valid.

The outputs expected on completion of the assignment

1. A high level review of the methodology adopted by NHS Property Services and their valuers (Montagu Evans) to assess the reasonableness of the key assumptions and judgements in their methodology approach.
2. A report that reviews the findings from the sample test of land and buildings to confirm that the methodology is appropriately and consistently applied.
