Market Intelligence Exercise - Corporate Brand of Devices

Leicester City Council (LCC) is considering options on the brand and associated services for Corporate Laptop Devices.

The council historically have been a Lenovo House on the devices they deploy and up to the pandemic procured devices through a reseller to an agreed specification. During the pandemic the Council made a move to procure remanufactured devices which not only supported the council's sustainability efforts but enabled devices to be secured in line with the ongoing global constraints.

We are now considering reviewing the brand of devices we deploy, whilst ensuring any

any change supports further cost avoidance. In addition, any change needs to be a brand/device that is seen to be "green" and as a minimum are either carbon neutral or on a roadmap to go negative.

The Council is interested in understanding the market, and whether vendors can supply our preferred standard specification and the associated costs and lead times, but equally we are not averse to considering a higher standard specification based on this market intelligence exercise.

Before commencing a formal tender process, the Council is keen to seek market information from organisations that may have an interest or expertise in this field. The information provided will be used to help inform Senior Stakeholder decision making and shape the requirements in our specification.
