Market Testing for Translation/Interpretation Service

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust (FHFT) is intending to procure the Translation and Interpretation service for all its three sites – Frimley Park Hospital, Wexham Park Hospital and Heatherwood Hospital. Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust intends to go for a fixed term contract for a period of maximum three years with an indicative annual contract value of GBP 80,000.00.

The service will be for face–to–face, telephonic and British Sign Language with majority of the service to be provided by telephone. Apart from various ethnic group which these three hospital serves, a majority of the service could be asked for Nepalese and Somalian community members.

FHFT also intends to cut down its prices paid for the commutation of these interpreters/translators – wherever they apply to – and emphasizes on the period of actual service provided. Hence, bidders are requested to provide a general idea of availability of these translators/interpreters on a local basis.

Potential providers with relevant capability and experience to deliver this service are required to express an interest if they are interested in bidding for this service should the Frimley Health Foundation Trust decide to carry out a competitive tender exercise and publishes a Contract Notice for this requirement.

Please provide a brief description of your capability and experience for Face to Face, Telephonic and British Sign language Translation and Interpretation service particularly for the Nepalese and Somalian communities. Please note that this is a market testing exercise to inform the FHFT’s decision making process. This does not commit the FHFT to a carry out a procurement process.

Bidders who have expressed an interest in this market testing exercise will have to submit a separate response to the Contract Notice should the FHFT decide to procure this service and publish a Contract Notice (advert) for this requirement.
