description

The framework intends to provide a national solution. ESPO is undertaking a procurement process to identify and appoint a number of suppliers to supply building materials, plumbing, heating and electrical equipment, paint and decorators’ sundries, timber, wooden and composite doors as well as associated products and provide associated services.

The requirement will be divided into the following lots:

  • Lot 1 – Building Materials
  • Lot 2 – Plumbing and Heating Equipment, Sanitaryware and Spares for Gas Fittings
  • Lot 3 – Electrical Fittings and Cables
  • Lot 4 – Paint and Decorator’s Sundries
  • Lot 5 – Timber
  • Lot 6 – Wooden and Composite Doors
  • Lot 7 – Total Building Supplies

The framework will be for delivery to individual customer’s sites as well as potential for collection from suppliers’ premises, trade counter services, vans stocks and managed stores.

Whilst initially for use by local authorities served by ESPO (see www.espo.org for further details), being a Central Purchasing Body as defined by the EU Combined Procurement Directive 2004/18/EC, the Framework Agreement may also be open for use by the following classifications of user throughout all administrative regions of the UK: Local Authority Councils; Educational Establishments (including Academies); Central Government Departments and their Agencies; Police, Fire & Rescue and Coastguard Emergency Services; NHS and HSC Bodies, including Ambulance Services; Registered Charities; Registered Social Landlords; Full details of the classification of end user establishments and geographical areas is available on: http://www.espo.org/About-us-%281%29/FAQs/Legal An eAuction process may be used to award subsequent call off contracts following the reopening of competition among the parties to the Framework Agreement.

The framework agreement has the option to extend for up to a further 12 months. The total estimated values stated include the option period.
