description

The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (the Council) is seeking to source a suitably licensed contractor to deliver the Service which is composed of the collection, keeping, recycling and treating of Sweepings Waste (the "Recyclable Waste").

The Recyclable Waste will consist of but not be limited to; litter, soil, kerbside silt, grass cuttings, weeds and leaves collected by road sweepers

The main objective of the contract is to divert waste away from landfill and to improve the Council's National Indicator "NI192" performance.

The contract is required to start 11th November 2019 and will run for a fixed period of two years until 31st October 2021 with the option to extend for an additional two year period. The Contractor will carry out the service on behalf of the Council for a fixed rate per tonne.

The Contractor will be responsible for the collection, keeping, recycling and treating of approximately 6,000 tonnes per annum of Recyclable Waste in line with current methods and regulations.
