Contract 26 - External Groundworks Framework 2023 - 2025

North Tyneside Council (the Authority) is seeking tenders from suitably experienced Suppliers for the delivery of external groundworks Framework for operational, schools and commercial buildings as well as, on occasions, works within residential areas.

The works required under this Framework may include, however, are not limited to:

Sub-structure Works

The nature of the non-residential premises will include, but not be limited to, education premises, commercial premises and public buildings. These premises may be owned and operated by the Authority, their business partners and private enterprises. The Locations of Buildings are all within the Borough of North Tyneside and their opening hours will vary due to the nature of their operation.

The Authority will be Principal Contractor and the successful Framework Suppliers will be Sub-Contractors (the Contractor) to the Authority and will be required to work together with North Tyneside Council (the Authority) to drive improvements and support the aims and ambitions of the Contract

The Framework has an initial duration of 24 months with two x up to 12 months extension options, at the sole discretion of the Authority, the full details of the Framework are available in the Tender documents. The maximum number of Contractors to be awarded on the Framework is eight, the full operation of the Framework is included in the Tender documents.

Contract Duration

The initial contract is for24 months with an option to extend 2 x up to 12 months after which renewals will be undertaken in accordance with the Authority's contract Standing Orders and at the sole discretion of the Authority.

Number of Successful Tenderers

The maximum number of Contractors to be awarded on the Framework = 8 (Eight)
