Aims: to explore barriers to data submission in citizen science projects
Objectives
- Design a survey to be administered to citizen scientists to explore why they submit data or not
- Administer survey to citizen scientists on the OPAL mailing list, and to a stratified sample of the UK population via an Omnibus Survey
- Analyse responses to identify key barriers to data submission
- Report findings to Defra and OPAL via a report and executive summary
- Communicate findings to citizen science stakeholders via social media, blogs, OPAL website and newsletter
