Supply, Install and Maintain Purpose Made Retractable Theatre Seating

Chelmsford City Theatres are looking to replace the existing system in their studio theatre.

The replacement must include a powered retractable system of 5 platforms, with a row of specific fixed seating on the top platform, 150 seats in total.

32. free standing seats to be supplied for 2 rows at the front on flat floor. Fixed to the wall and floor including an extended platform to the rear row incorporating 2 sets of steps, left and right of centre to access the lobby areas behind the seating system. To provide double direction step assembly, for access from the floor in front of the seating system to the rear platform when truncation mechanism is operated.
100. stackable seats to be used for alternative configuration when platforms retracted.

All seats to be fully upholstered.

Existing seating will be removed by the theatre.

Applicants must be experienced in the manufacture or supply of this type of seating system and be prepared to provide evidence of UK installations.

To be achieved within critical space restrictions and installed in a specific time slot in September 2015.
