THE WORKS The Works comprise the construction of a single storey extension approximately 14 x 8 m on plan to provide an additional Classroom, Store, Store/Workroom and Lobby. The construction is traditional brick and block with insulated cavity built off a reinforced concrete raft foundation and floor slab; with a tiled pitched roof which includes the installation of structural steel support, timber rafters and Glulam Beams (Designed by Specialist Contractor) and an adjoining flat roof covered with a proprietary built-up felt roofing system.Internal block walls forming the proposed layout and Mechanical and Electrical Installations. The work also comprises associated drainage provision, paths, landscaping and the construction of additional car parking spaces forming an extension to the existing school car park. The Contractor is directed to the tender drawings to identify the exact shape, nature, extent and location of the works. The intention is to award this requirement to a single contractor.
