The Technical Refresh Programme (TRP), a team acting on behalf of Home Office Technology, are inviting bids from suppliers to provide, install and maintain LAN equipment.

Although Cisco equipment is specified, suppliers are permitted to offer quotations for suitable equivalent alternatives providing the following requirements are met:

the supplier must fully describe how the alternate product is able to deliver the current requirement whilst clearly demonstrating how they will eliminate risks of technical incompatibility with the existing environment and technical skills;

the supplier must fully cost the items in 5.1 – 5.3 above, along with any additional elements that are not listed but are necessary in the provision of an equivalent offer made.
