description

Hertfordshire County Council has the requirement for the Detailed Design for Removal of Grange Paddocks Weir.

The River Stort is a chalk stream that flows through Bishop's Stortford. A fixed crest weir was constructed at the upstream end of the re-routed section, within the Grange Paddocks green space.

This phase of the project is to produce detailed design drawings and obtain all permissions required ahead of the construction phase to remove the weir at Grange Paddocks on the River Stort in Bishop's Stortford. This will also include necessary alterations / new design for the EA Flood Warning Station and additional geomorphological improvements upstream of the weir identified alongside the preferred option of weir removal in the feasibility study.

The Contract value is indicative but bids are expected to be competitive and within this range.

Full details are in the Quotation documentation.
