The networking equipment must meet certain requirements as follows:
Must be supportable under the existing maintenance contract in place (CISCO);
| Must have the ability to have interchangeable SFP modules to support 100 Base Multimode 1000 Base Multimode/Singlemode Fibres; | |
| Must be layer 3 compatible; | |
| Must be fully compatible with existing equipment and technical skills. |
Due to the reasons listed above and that the fact that this equipment is for a high security network, the products outlines must be provided and bids for alternative equivalents cannot be accepted.
