GB-Southend: Tender for the Refurbishment of the Proposed St Marys School Annex

Southend on Sea Borough Council wish to appoint a contractor for refurbishment of the existing college building located in East Street SS2 6LQ to form the annex for St Marys School.

The project involves the following:-

• The Refurbishment of an existing building (phase 1 only) 800 msq single storey block comprising of two double class rooms, staffroom, reception and admin, hall, kitchen, the head teachers office plus associated toilets.
• The Refurbishment of external works approx 2000 msq which include playground resurfacing car park remodelling

Works are anticipated to commence on 1st June 2015 and complete on 14th August 2015.

The clients requirements (room data sheets, specification, drawings and pricing document) will be issued to all tendering contractors and the contract will be let under the JCT Design IC 2011.

Please submit your request to tender no later than 10.00am on Tuesday 21st April 2015. The tenders will be sent out on Tuesday 21st April 2015 with a return date of Monday 8th May 2015.

The returned tenders will be considered against an evaluation ratio of 60% for price, 40% for quality which may include an interview.

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs).
